Ius Omnibus comments to the EC Public Consultation on the Digital Fitness Check

Ius Omnibus has contributed to the European Commission’s Public Consultation on the Digital Fitness Check, calling for a digital rulebook that is clearer, stronger, and easier to enforce, without weakening protection.

In our submission, we emphasised that simplifying the EU digital rulebook must not weaken consumer protection. Clear rights, effective remedies, coordinated enforcement, and accessible complaint mechanisms remain essential to ensure that consumers can fully benefit from the digital single market.

As EU digital rules evolve, consumers must not face fragmented rights, unclear remedies, or enforcement gaps. We are pleased to contribute the consumer perspective to this important reflection on the future of EU digital regulation.
