Maria José Azar-Baud
(Professor at University Paris XI)

Nationality: French and Argentinian

Academic Curriculum: Maria José Azar-Baud a law graduate from the Universidad Católica de Santiago del Estero – Magna Cum Laude. She has a double doctorate from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Buenos Aires. Her thesis deals with Collective actions in Consumer law in France and Argentina, under a Comparative Law perspective (Dalloz, in 2013).  

Professional Activity: Maria José is an Associate Professor at the University of Paris-Saclay and lectures at University 1 Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, University 2 Panthéon-Assas, amongst other international universities and training schools for lawyers and judges. Her main areas of research are: Consumer Law, International Contracts and Comparative Procedural Law. She is also the author of numerous publications written in English, French and Spanish. She also founded the Observatory of group actions in France, has been a lawyer at the Bar of Buenos Aires and is now admitted to the Paris Bar.

Victoriano Nazareth
(Retired Senior Technician in School Administration at the Ministry of Education)

Nationality: Portuguese

Academic curriculum: Victoriano Nazareth has a degree in History from the University of Coimbra and has attended the Postgraduate Course in Documentary Sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra. Victoriano also has a specialization in Total Quality Management by INA.

Professional activity: Victoriano Nazareth is a retired Senior Technician in School Administration at the Ministry of Education. 

Carmen Herrero Suárez
Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Valladolid

Nationality: Spanish

Academic curriculum: Carmen Herrero Suárez is a Law Graduate from the Universidad de Valladolid and has a Doctor iuris (Ph.D) from the Universidad de Valladolid -Honors. She has an LL.M in Trade Regulation, with specialization in Antitrust and Industrial Property, by the New York University (Fulbright Graduate Scholarship).

Professional activity: Her research activity has focused mainly in the field of Antitrust Law and Industrial Property, with a special attention to the comparative study of the American and European jurisdictions, with several contributions in Spanish, English and Italian.  Secretary of the Revista de Derecho de la Competencia y la Distribución (RCD) and in charge of the European and International Antitrust Section. She has worked as a legal adviser for different companies in competitions matters and as a Commissioner of the Spanish Department of Justice in different international meetings regarding the subject of the private enforcement of competition law.

Patricia Gil Lemstra
(Lecturer and researcher at Tilburg University – International Business Law)

Nationality: Dutch and Brazilian

Academic Curriculum: Patricia Gil Lemstra is a law graduate from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), with specialization in Tax Law by the Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos Tributarios (IBET), and LL.M (Latin Legum Magister or Master of Laws) degree in International Business Law by Tilburg University. She is a PhD candidate of Tilburg University and her research deals with intra-corporate dispute resolution.

Professional Activity: Patricia is a lecturer and researcher at Tilburg University in the area of International Business Law.

Afonso de Freitas Dantas
Researcher at the Cyberlaw Research Center (CIJIC) and at the Space Law Research Centre (SPARC)

Nationality: Portuguese

Academic curriculum: Afonso de Freitas Dantas is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2021) and is enrolled in a master’s degree in Law and Legal Science at the same Faculty. He also has a postgraduate study in National Defense Law (FDUL and IDN), as well as in International Nuclear Law (Nuclear Energy Agency – OCDE and University of Montepellier).

Professional activity: Afonso de Freitas Dantas is a researcher at the Cyberlaw Research Center (CIJIC) and at the Space Law Research Centre (SPARC).

Nationality: British

Academic curriculum: Amy Adams is a joint Law and German graduate from the University of Bristol, UK, and spent a year abroad studying German and international law at the University of Göttingen. She holds an LL.M. in European Law from Paris II Panthéon‐Assas University and was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2023, after graduating from BPP Law School, London.

Professional activity: Before joining Ius Omnibus, Amy completed several placements in barristers’ chambers, and has experience as a credit hire Claims Handler.
