The Vice President of Ius, Maria José Azar-Baud, associate Professor at Paris-Saclay University, obtained the “Habilitation à diriger des recherches”, a high degree in French universities, before an International Jury of prestigious professors.
The university degree, allowing her to supervise PhD candidates, is the result of 25 years as a researcher and culminated in the theme “Contributions to the construction of a coherent collective tutelage regime”.
Her research deals with class actions from a comparative perspective and encompasses the fields of consumer, data, health, environment and discrimination. It also aims at enhancing access to Justice, sound administration of Justice and deterrence.
